This vessel contained more than 7.000 sharks, representing one of the largest seizures recorded to date. Thanks to the collaboration between Universidad San Francisco de Quito and Parque Nacional Gal\u00e1pagos, the samples were accessible. This work has led by Elisa Bonaccorso, researcher and member of the Biosphere Institute.
