Project Environmental Engineer (Site Investigation & Remediation)
[Location], NY | Permanent | Full-time
$100,000 to $130,000 base plus performance bonus
I'm working with one of the leading environmental consulting firms in the Northeast, with a specialist site investigation and remediation team. They're looking for a Project Environmental Engineer with 4+ years' experience who's ready to take on more responsibility for running tasks, field programs and people.
You'll split your time between the field and the office, working on assessment and remediation projects at industrial and brownfield sites. You'll learn directly from senior and principal-level professionals while starting to manage work and develop junior staff yourself.
What you'll be doing:
- Designing field programs, writing work plans and protocols, and leading field teams
- Overseeing subcontractors including drillers, equipment operators and haulers
- Implementing remedial technologies designed by senior staff, and supporting conceptual and detailed remedial design
- Reviewing and interpreting project data, and preparing reports with remediation recommendations
- Managing task schedules, budgets and invoicing
- Mentoring and training junior staff
What they're looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field
- 4+ years in environmental consulting, with clear progression in site investigation and remediation
- Experience designing and managing field programs, including scheduling, budgeting and subcontractor management
- Experience implementing common remedial technologies in the field
- Solid data evaluation and report writing skills
- Knowledge of common technical protocols and regulatory requirements
- Happy working outdoors in all conditions and driving between project sites
What's on offer:
- $100,000 - $130,000 base, plus performance and profit-based bonuses
- 401(k) profit sharing with employer match
- Medical, dental and vision
- Company-paid life and disability insurance
- Paid time off and paid parental leave
- A clear path to progress as a consultant and leader within a specialist remediation team
If you're an environmental engineer with 4+ years in investigation and remediation and want to step up, apply here or message me directly for a confidential conversation.
