Me interesa el uso de herramientas gen\u00f3micas para entender profundamente la estructura y din\u00e1micas poblacionales de las especies con las que trabajo y adem\u00e1s poder caracterizar microbiomas en diferentes contextos. Trabajo tambi\u00e9n con especies animales en colaboraci\u00f3n con otros investigadores. Dentro de mi laboratorio tenemos varios proyectos de propagaci\u00f3n in vitro de plantas y me interesa tambi\u00e9n el campo de la bioseguridad relacionada con organismos gen\u00e9ticamente modificados y el manejo responsable de los recursos gen\u00e9ticos.<\/p>\n<p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"kc-elm kc-css-625575 kc_accordion_section group \"><h3 class=\"kc_accordion_header ui-accordion-header\"><span class=\"ui-accordion-header-icon ui-icon\"><\/span><a href=\"#proyectos\" data-prevent=\"scroll\"><i class=\"\"><\/i> Proyectos<\/a><\/h3><div morti\u00f1o: este proyecto tiene como prop\u00f3sito elaborar un borrador del genoma de esta especie para posteriormente analizar posibles regiones asociadas con adaptaci\u00f3n a condiciones de altura.<\/p>\n<p>Origen de la invasi\u00f3n del tomate silvestre continental introducido en las Islas Gal\u00e1pagos: este proyecto se realiza en colaboraci\u00f3n con la Universidad de Indiana y buscamos entender con mayor claridad el origen del tomate silvestre introducido en estas islas a trav\u00e9s del uso de herramientas gen\u00f3micas.<\/p>\n<p>Diversidad gen\u00e9tica de la guayusa: este proyecto analiza la diversidad gen\u00e9tica existente en la guayusa cultivada en chacras de la amazon\u00eda ecuatoriana.<\/p>\n<p>Caracterizaci\u00f3n del microbioma asociado a las ra\u00edces del morti\u00f1o: el objetivo de este proyecto es entender las relaciones que puede haber entre microbioma y gen\u00e9tica de la planta.<\/p>\n<p>Cultivo in vitro de la guayusa y efectos del uso de diferentes tratamientos de luces LED: este proyecto pretende estandarizar un protocolo de propagaci\u00f3n vegetativa de esta especie para entender mejor la fisiolog\u00eda de esta especie frente a
