The Masters Program of Environmental Management (Professional), with a major in socio-ecological systems aims to contribute to the sustainable management of the environment in ecologically-vulnerable and socially-complex systems. For this, it will train professionals capable of leading initiatives for environmental management, planning, conservation, sustainable use of natural resources, and participatory management, with an integrative vision that will allow them to ensure the balance between the health of the environment and the satisfaction of social demands.

This professional program uses a comprehensive approach to Environmental Management to address the long-lasting separation between technical knowledge and the understanding of the social scenario. The program is based on four pillars: Biophysical Environment, Human Environment, Environmental Management and Institutional Environment. Following this multidisciplinary scheme, the analysis of both the conservation needs of natural resources, and the social demands on such resources are linked throughout the entire program. Therefore, allowing a proper understanding, analyses, and development of comprehensive solutions to environmental problems from the social perspective.

- Detailed Field: Biology, Agricultural and Livestock Production, Technology and Environmental Protection, Economics, Political Science, Psychology, Geography and Territory, Administration, Tourism.
- Undergraduate Degree: Sociology, Anthropology, Education.
