Circular engineering, green engineering, water treatment, scientific research and development of processes and products for application in food, cosmetics, environment, biotechnology, occupational health, second generation biorefinery. Transport phenomena, modeling & simulation, computational fluid dynamics (CFD).

Projects

  • Obtaining High Added Value Compounds (CAVA) from residual lignocellulosic biomass for their potential use in industrial applications of encapsulated bioproducts.
  • Moringa oleifer Lam. (miracle tree) biorefinery in Ecuador: Batch and continuous adsorption of metals and metalloids.
  • Adsorption bed kinetics for organic and inorganic pollutants removal from water using lignocellulosic biomass and their recovery using deep eutectics solvents.
  • Reduction of oil and grease from water using residual lignocellulosic materials.
