2ND CONVERSATION OF THE CYCLE OF CONFERENCES AND CONVERSATIONS BIOSPHERE: Urban green areas during the Pandemic

On thursday 22th of july at 17h00  the 2nd conversation of the Cycle of Conferences and Conversations BIOSPHERE entitled: “Urban Green Areas during the Pandemic" " was held. In this conversation, we talked with Nicolás Cuvi (PhD in History of Sciences, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Professor and researcher of the Department of Anthropology, History and Humanities of FLACSO-Ecuador. Researcher and specialist in climate change, environmental history and urban ecology), Diego Cisneros (PhD in Biogeography, King’s College London, United Kingdom. Naturalist researcher in urban ecology. Professor of the USFQ-Ecuador and director of iBIOTROP-USFQ), and Sandy Espinoza (Degree in Tourism and Hotel Administration, Universidad del Azuay, Ecuador. Director of the Jardines Silvestres Quito Project, member of the Organizing Committee of the Urban Christmas Count Quito, and coordinator of the Urban Bird Program in Ecuador PAU Quito).

In this conversation we had the opportunity to explore the role that urban green areas have had during the Covid19 pandemic, and their future in the context of the current urban development of our cities.
