Interests

Understanding of processes and the effects of land use change in the (eco)hydrology of mountain ecosystems at different spatial and temporal scales through the use of hydrometeorological information, environmental tracers (isotopic and geochemical) in combination with modeling techniques. Specific interests: identification of the flow paths water follows through hydrological systems, characterization of water sources that produce surface runoff, determination of how hydrological dynamics influence biogeochemical processes. *Representative of the Early Career Committee of the International Association of Hydrological Sciences.

Projects

    • Synthesis of the physical and socio-political aspects of hydrological research in the Páramo
    • Systematic review and meta-analysis on the hydrological impacts of the Andean grasslands
    • Identification of tap water sources and water supply structure in a mesoscale tropical Andean city
    • Evaluation of Non-Stationary Hydrological Conditions in the Andean Páramo
    • Isotope Hydrology of an Intermittent River System in a Neotropical Biodiversity Hotspot
